Depending on your method of travel you can fly into Stornoway with BA.com or FlyBMI.com If you prefer to travel by ferry you can check CALMAC.co.uk for timetables and costs. Stornoway is 56 miles north of Leverburgh and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to drive. Tarbert is 18 miles North which takes about 30 minutes to drive. The map above shows the Isle of Harris with Tarbert to the top right and Leverburgh/Grimisdale bottom left (green arrows - click for enlargement 335k). If you are traveling on the Uig - Tarbert ferry it is releativly easy to get to Leverburgh as it is virtually a straight drive along the main road. Coming Out of Tarbert take a left along the A859 and just follow the road (turning right takes you to Stornoway). Keep on driving until you see the sign for Leverburgh, it is near a cattle grid with trees to your right. Drive on until you drive past the school (see street map below) on your left quickly followed by the Clachan on your right (a general store on the banks of a loch). Slow down as you are now approaching the lefthand turn for Grimisdale (shown on the bottom picture). It is then just a very short drive (300 yards) around to Grimisdale Guest House.
